We have two first generation Honda Civic Hybrids. After the transmission died in one, I decided to transfer the newer battery over to my other hybrid. This is a much smaller battery than you would find on in a Prius, Leaf, or Tesla. It’s a heavy bugger hidden behind the rear seats. If anyone wants to know, I wouldn’t recommend getting a used hybrid from the first or second generation. Be prepared to spend a lot of money getting a new battery. We spent $2,500 on a new battery just to see it degrade very quickly. I’m really happy with our Nissan Leaf and electric/hybrid cars in general.
